Losing it with Jillian All Over Again
It’s time for America to get up off the couch and take action against their unhealthy habits! That’s what Jillian Michaels attempts to do in her new show “Losing it with Jillian”. The show airs on NBC and is geared toward motivating those with unhealthy eating and lifestyle habits to change.
Each week Jillian works with one family to change the way they live. Many of these families also have some sort of emotional issues that are dealt with as the whole person is addressed by Jillian. The show follows Jillian as she moves in with the family for an entire week and uproots most of what they are used to. She introduces them to healthier alternatives to what they now eat. Jillian teaches the families how to make better choices and how to exercise.
She works them hard and the road to healthy is not an easy one for most of these families. Throughout the week, the families are put on a strict plan of exercise and eating, but once the week is over, it’s up to them to continue with the plan to obtain the desired results.
The show continues by showing Jillian returning to visit the families a month later and to see how they have kept up with the plan she had put in place. The end of the show reports updates on each family member and whether or not they have reached their goal.
Reviews of the show vary from highly favorable to unfavorable. Watchers of the popular show “Biggest Loser” will recognize Jillian Michaels, but “Losing it with Jillian” is different in many ways. The show often focuses on emotional issues as opposed to continuous workouts in a gym. Harsher critics say that the show should not be so soft. Reviewers who favor the show say it is the perfect combination of sweat and heart.
