Sony Ericsson Yari

The Yari really is the best of both worlds. It acts more like an old fashion phone yet has a lot of new functionality. So it should satisfy a lot of people. This phone features brand new gaming keys that should definitely enhance your game playing abilities. Although these keys seem to be more useful for the functionality of the camera. Even though this phone has a 5 megapixel camera the picture quality of the Yari is not the best we’ve seen. The camera does come equipped with an LED flash and the camera is built into the fascia of the phone so there is little chance of your camera getting damaged.

Another surprising feature of this phone is that the alphanumeric keypad seems to stick out from the bottom of the device. It may look like its flat, but it can cause quite a few problems if you are trying to type quickly. The problem is that the buttons are not distinguishable from one another.

Some of the features we liked about this phone are the motion based gaming technology; the great audio quality and the stand that lets you prop up your phone.

We were disappointed in the lack of a document viewer and the picture quality of the camera.

So if you are looking for a phone to use predominately for gaming, then the Sony Ericsson Yari may be for you. It is not a spectacular phone, but with the gaming abilities and the affordable price it will appeal to the younger generation.
